About the role: We are seeking a Senior Art Director to lead the creative development of Sakara Life’s campaigns and content. In this role, you will focus on crafting innovative concepts and engaging content that bring our brand’s mission to life. Collaborating closely with the Creative, Marketing, and Product Development teams, you will oversee the end-to-end process of creating cohesive campaigns that inspire, engage, and drive results across digital, print, and experiential platforms. Your ability to connect with photographers, directors, stylists, and other creative professionals will be essential in bringing these campaigns to life.

Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Development: Lead the ideation and execution of campaign concepts across digital, print, social media, email, and experiential channels.
  • Content Creation: Oversee the creation of engaging and cohesive content that tells a compelling story and drives brand engagement.
  • Creative Collaboration: Partner with copy director, designers, photographers, directors, stylists, and cross-functional teams to develop integrated campaigns that align with brand goals.
  • Visual Direction: Provide direction for photoshoots and video productions, collaborating with photographers, videographers, and stylists to craft compelling visual narratives.
  • Project Oversight: Manage multiple campaign projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with brand standards.
  • Brand Stewardship: Ensure all campaigns and content reflect Sakara’s mission and maintain a consistent brand voice and aesthetic.
  • Mentorship: Inspire and guide designers and creatives, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay ahead of industry trends and audience insights to keep Sakara’s campaigns fresh, innovative, and relevant.

 

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in art direction or campaign development, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in conceptual and content-driven work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field.
  • Proven experience leading campaign development and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional conceptual thinking and storytelling abilities, with a strong understanding of how to connect ideas across platforms.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with Figma or Sketch.
  • Experience directing photoshoots and video productions, with a focus on creating content-driven narratives.
  • Strong network and ability to collaborate with photographers, directors, stylists, and other creative professionals.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Passion for wellness, lifestyle, and luxury brands, with an understanding of how to translate these values into impactful campaigns.
  • Adaptable, innovative, and eager to push creative boundaries.

The pay band for this role is $145,000 - $160,000

This role will be based out of our HQ in NYC (3 days a week in office are required)
