Marketing Coordinator
Marketing Coordinator at Sakara Life
Job Title: Marketing Coordinator
Location: Remote / Hybrid (flexible)
Department: Marketing & Creative
Company Overview:
Sakara Life is a mission driven, premium wellness brand helping people nourish themselves by providing ready-to-eat nutrition programs, functional supplements, and educational content to clients nationwide. We are seeking smart, passionate, ambitious, and hardworking team players that share our passion for health & well-being.
About the role: We are looking for a scrappy, resourceful go-getter to join our small but mighty Marketing team as a Marketing Coordinator, reporting directly to our VP of Marketing. This is a hands-on, in-the-trenches role on a small but mighty team — you'll get exposure to every corner of marketing, from paid media to email/SMS to influencer partnerships to social content, and will help shape how Sakara shows up across every channel.
You'll love this role if: You're a builder who loves rolling up your sleeves and figuring things out. You're comfortable wearing many hats and moving fluidly between tactical execution and creative collaboration. You're detail-oriented and organized, but not precious about process. You’d rather ship good work fast than wait for perfect. You're excited to learn the ins and outs of paid media, retention marketing, and influencer/affiliate management, and you thrive working closely with a senior leader who will invest in your growth.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the coordination of affiliate platforms and relationships, and management of influencer partnerships, including outreach, relationship management, and content collaboration.
- Collaborate with the VP of Marketing to develop and implement a social media content calendar aligned with marketing objectives and brand voice.
- Collaborate with creative contractors and content creators to develop visually compelling, on-brand social media assets, including graphics, photos, and videos.
- Manage paid marketing platforms, including Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, and YouTube Ads.
- Tactically set up and execute email marketing campaigns, automated trigger emails, and text-based (SMS) marketing — including creating the asset, managing distribution lists and targeted segmentation, testing, and deploying.
- Coordinate gifts-with-purchase (GWPs) and retention promotions with Operations team members.
- Own and maintain the master marketing calendar across paid, email/SMS, and social channels to keep campaigns and promotions in sync.
- Pull regular performance reporting across paid media, email/SMS, and social to support the VP of Marketing's decision-making.
- Make basic website and landing page updates (e.g., banners, promo pages, PDP tweaks) to support active campaigns.
- Support community management by monitoring and responding to social comments and DMs, and triaging to Customer Experience as needed.
- Manage administrative coordination with vendors and contractors
- Conduct ad-hoc market and competitor research to inform content ideas and campaign strategy.
- Pitch in wherever needed across marketing and creative to support the VP of Marketing and the broader team's goals.
Requirements:
Professional Experience: 1-2 years of experience in marketing, ideally with exposure to paid media, email/SMS marketing, or social/content — DTC, wellness, or CPG experience a plus.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with paid social/search platforms (Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager) and email/SMS platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Attentive, or similar) preferred. Comfort with basic design/content tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, etc.) a plus.
Scrappy Go-Getter Mentality: A true "in the trenches" collaborator who is willing to pitch in on any task, big or small, and figure things out with limited hand-holding.
Organization & Attention to Detail: Strong project management instincts — able to juggle multiple campaigns, deadlines, and stakeholders (internal teams, contractors, influencers, affiliates) at once.
Communication Skills: Clear, proactive communicator, comfortable managing outreach and relationships with external partners (influencers, affiliates, creative contractors).
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, lean team environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to changing priorities.
Passion for Wellness: Interest in health, wellness, and lifestyle brands, with enthusiasm for helping build Sakara's brand presence.
