As the Senior Manager of Digital Design at Sakara Life, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and user interface (UI) across our digital platforms, including the website, mobile app, and marketing communications. You will collaborate closely with the UX strategist and eCommerce Director to enhance user experience (UX), optimize conversion rates (CVR), and uphold the Sakara brand aesthetic across all digital touchpoints.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Digital Design Leadership: Lead the design strategy and execution for Sakara’s digital presence, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and business objectives.
  • UI Design Excellence: Design intuitive, simple, and visually appealing interfaces for the Sakara website, mobile app, and marketing templates e.g. emails, focusing on usability and conversion optimization.
  • Brand Elevation: Elevate the Sakara brand through innovative and impactful design solutions that resonate with our target audience and reinforce brand positioning.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the UX strategist, eCommerce Director and Creative Director to conceptualize and implement designs that enhance user journeys and drive engagement.
  • Quality Assurance (QA): Implement rigorous QA processes to ensure that all digital designs meet high standards of quality, functionality, and performance.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Partner with marketing, product, and technology teams to ensure seamless integration of design initiatives and alignment with overall company goals.
  • Testing and Iteration: In partnership with the Marketing team, conduct A/B testing and gather user feedback to iterate on designs, continuously improving performance metrics such as CVR and engagement rates.
  • Creative Management/direction: Provide creative direction and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a culture of design excellence and innovation within the team.
  • Documentation and Communication: Clearly articulate design concepts and rationale, presenting work to stakeholders and senior leadership as needed.

Requirements:

  • Professional Experience: Proven experience (6+ years) in digital design, with a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional UI design work for DTC subscription businesses and top-tier brands.
  • Design Education: Degree in Design, Digital Design, Visual Communication, or related field 
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Figma, Sketch, etc. Knowledge of HTML/CSS and responsive design principles is a plus.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to think strategically about design solutions, balancing creativity with data-driven insights and business goals.
  • Team Player: Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of working effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Passion for Wellness: Interest in health, wellness, and lifestyle brands, with a commitment to enhancing digital experiences that empower and inspire our audience.
This full-time role is based at our NYC Headquarters in Soho. We currently operate under a hybrid model where you will be required to work in person 3 days during the week. 

The compensation salary range for this role is $140,000 - $150,000 annually.
