Sakara College Internship Program

Position Overview

Sakara Life is looking for ambitious people who share our passion for health & well-being to join our beautiful, fast-growing team as a Sakara intern!  You will learn the amazing benefits of eating clean, the power of food as medicine, and what goes into building a startup in the wellness industry. You will work closely with various heads of departments and the rest of the Sakara team to get a broad view of how the company operates.  This is an opportunity to gain knowledge across departments, eat soul-enriching Sakara food, and get hands-on experience at a start-up. We work in an exciting and fast-paced environment, where initiative and enthusiasm is necessary, so come ready!

The Responsibilities

Sakara interns may be involved in a variety of tasks related to the following departments depending on your skills and interests: marketing, content/design, client service, or business operations. 

Potential projects include:

• Marketing + Creative: 
  • Assist editorial team - helping prepare for interviews, writing blog entries and marketing copy, conducting supporting research
  • Assist with social media and influencer management
  • Assist with photo shoots and other marketing projects 
  • Ad hoc projects as needed
• Business Operations + Customer Service: 
  • Conduct research for new products and customer outreach campaigns
  • Assist with customer outreach 
  • Process customer requests
  • Aggregate customer data and customer feedback with the goal of understanding underlying trends
  • Ad hoc projects as needed

What We're Looking For

• Junior or Senior in college
• Energy, enthusiasm, adaptability - a 'no job is too small' mindset
• Passion for the Sakara Life (our food and life philosophy)
• A self-starter who can take direction but work independently
• Excellent organizational and written and verbal communication skills
• Problem-solving mentality - there is no issue you can't tackle!
• A strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit
• Previous internship experience in an office environment preferred, but not required

This internship is for academic credit only.  

When applying, please state whether you are more interested in (1) Business Operations or (2) Marketing focused internship.  

This could be a part-time or full-time internship (minimum of 1 day per week), and you must commit to at least 1 semester (4-6 months).
