Manager, Email Marketing

We’re hiring a Manager of Email Marketing to shape the next stage of our customer lifecycle marketing program. Reporting directly to our VP of Customer Strategy, you’ll lead our email marketing program end-to-end and play an integral role in customer acquisition, retention and loyalty initiatives. This position involves both strategy and hands-on execution, giving you the opportunity to be a thought leader and roll up your sleeves to take action.

The Role:

  • Develop and continually refine our email marketing strategy to increase revenue, reduce churn, win back lapsed customers, and increase customer engagement
  • Manage our email communications calendar and identify opportunities to engage customers at key points into their lifecycle and based on their customer profile
  • Develop and manage our segmentation, targeting and personalization strategy, including our automated emails by segment
  • Develop and execute email campaigns and content – including coming up with ideas, working with our creative team on copy and assets, building emails, setting up distribution lists + segments, and deploying emailsConstantly analyze and report on email performance and discuss with senior leadership on regular basis
  • Concept and run A/B tests to optimize email results
  • Manage our email service provider and supporting vendor relationships
  • Monitor the heath, engagement levels, and growth of our email list, and work proactively to grow the list
  • Work closely with all teams, particularly marketing, tech, and customer service

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Email Marketing / CRM in a Business to Consumer (B2C) eCommerce company, preferably with high-end products or subscription-based businesses
  • Proven track record of driving incremental revenue and retention through a range of email campaigns, segmentation, personalization and automated email marketing strategies
  • A bias toward frequent A/B testing and iteration
  • Experience with an Email Service Provider, such as Klaviyo (preferred)
  • Intermediate Excel, HTML and CSS skills
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights and a passion for analyzing results to see what’s working
  • Scrappy enough to get things done brilliantly and beautifully despite limited resources
  • Extreme attention to details and brand consistency
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work hard
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and across teams
