Manager, Digital Marketing Strategy

We’re hiring our first ever Manager of Digital Marketing. Reporting directly to our VP of Marketing, you’ll lead the charge in developing and overseeing our entire digital marketing acquisition strategy.

You’ll love this role if you’re as passionate about thinking creatively to solve complex problems as you are about performance marketing, and really living in the data to test, optimize and build sustainable campaigns.

The Role:

  • You’ll oversee our digital marketing. This includes everything from acquisition & brand awareness initiatives to developing a scalable customer acquisition to LTV model around new market expansion and growth.
  • Create and execute sophisticated targeting and segmentation to improve the cost-effectiveness of consumer acquisition costs and to increase consumer lifetime value.
  • Work with our product and creative team members to provide ongoing insight into different conversion attribution methodologies, creative optimization, and impact of performance.
  • Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly customer acquisition forecasts and historic reporting.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly budgets across all paid channels.
  • Partner with Creative to develop strategies for display campaigns.

Here’s what your average day might look like:

  • Start your day in the office with our delicious Sakara breakfast while you look over previous week reporting. Send a quick note to leadership regarding nCAC and any key insights on ROAS or CVR.
  • Meet with the creative team to brainstorm new re-targeting campaigns and collaborate on the next iteration based on your data.
  • Check in on Adwords and tweak bidding based on some new press we just received.
  • Grab Sakara lunch and meet with your manager about how to allocate next month’s budget.  
  • Present to our founders your targeting and segmentation plans to improve the cost-effectiveness of consumer acquisition costs and to increase consumer lifetime value.
  • Have a passionate discussion about attribution methodologies over coffee.
  • Grab a few minutes with our product team to sketch out a pricing experiment using Optimizely and chat about the last bandit test you ran.
  • Make updates to our social and retargeting campaigns before heading home at a reasonable time, because having a life is, you know, pretty important.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in Digital Marketing, B2C eCommerce and, preferably, experience with subscriptions or high-end products.
  • You’ve mastered GTM, Doubleclick Bid & Campaign Manager, Nanigans, and FB Power Editor, and some experience with DSP’s. We’ll love you even more if you’re comfortable with SQL.
  • You are scrappy enough to get things done brilliantly and beautifully with limited resources.
  • Managed monthly budgets up to $250,000.
  • Scrappy enough to get things done in a (sometimes) resource thin company.
  • Detailed and thorough with daily, weekly, and monthly dashboard reporting.
