VP of Growth Marketing

The VP of Marketing is a key hire for Sakara Life, and hiring a star is one of our most important initiatives at this point in our evolution.  We are looking for a quick, smart, and thoughtful leader who shares our passion for health and well-being to take us to new heights! The VP of Marketing will be based out of our headquarters (the Sakara Loft) in Soho, NYC.

  • A Visionary - You have that ability to see two steps ahead — in hiring, resources, campaigns, market shifts, etc. You aren’t afraid to innovate!

DAILY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee a marketing organization that includes paid acquisition, as well as press, PR, partnerships, social media, and creative

  • Manage a significant customer acquisition budget, including SEM, display, Facebook/Instagram, direct mail, etc.

  • Increase earned media and unpaid traffic with PR, social media and other programs

  • Oversee a robust content and non-paid strategy

  • Oversee on-brand marketing partnerships

  • Drive high-priority tech / product requirements as they relate to growth goals

  • Leverage ongoing customer research, segmentation to inform business decisions.

  • Create and maintain a strong executive team presence – work closely with Founders and General Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Passion for Sakara and our mission
  • 6-10+ years of marketing experience working with a leading consumer or lifestyle brand
  • Experience in the digital space and comfort with a variety of paid marketing and retention channels.
  • Proven people manager and team-builder
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a passion for creativity and forward-thinking flair
  • Proven ROI-driven results and an understanding of the potential of brand loyalty/trust
  • Knowledge of fashion, nutrition, health, and consumer trends is a plus
  • Resourcefulness, flexibility, and exceptional teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-productivity environment with tight deadlines
  • A leader and self-starter. Able to manage own deadlines and works well under pressure.
